A Place to Stand

The Legend of New Zealand

1. Dairy farmers produce a whopping 100 kg of butter and        65kg of cheese each year for each person living in New        Zealand.


2.  30% of the country is forest.


3.  The country is part of the Pacific Rim of Fire and its           most active volcano


4. To become a New Zealand citizen, you must swear an          oath of loyalty to Queen Elizabeth


5. The Maori name of New Zealand is Aotearoa which              means the land of the long white cloud.
