Volume

Today we got told to write a blogpost about volume. Last week we measured a Classroom, Cupboard, 2x Ball Bins and a Gym m3 means cubic meters  volume means the amount of space that a substance or object occupies, or that is enclosed within a container this is how you caculate volume.

  1. lume = length x width x height.
  2. You only need to know one side to figure out the volume of a cube.
  3. The units of measure for volume are cubic units.
  4. Volume is in three-dimensions.
  5. You can multiply the sides in any order.
  6. Which side you call length, width, or height doesn't matter.

Gym 28m + 20 = 48 + 8.10 = 12.10

ClassRoom 11m + 5m +3m = 19m

Ball Bin 1 1m + 1m + 1m = 3m
Cupboard 2m + 1m + 2.5m = 5.5m
Ball Bin 2 1.6m + 585mm + 1m

585mm = 58.5cm
1.6m = 160cm
1m = 100cm

160cm + 100 cm + 58.5 cm = 318.5cm
